Insurance & coverage

Funding shouldn’t be the reason care doesn’t start.

Refer without knowing how it will be paid for. Our intake team confirms coverage with your client before any care begins, and recommends a level of care they can finish.

Funding pathways

Four ways care gets paid for.

Extended health benefits

Most plans cover psychological services up to an annual maximum. We provide receipts with the practitioner’s designation and registration number for reimbursement.

Employer & workplace programs

Employee assistance plans, disability insurers, and occupational health teams can fund therapy or a full program, often with pre-approval.

Workers' compensation

Where a claim is accepted, treatment and return-to-work planning may be funded directly. We coordinate with the case manager on approvals and reporting.

Veterans' benefit programs & self-pay

Clients accessing a veterans’ benefit program, or paying privately, are given clear pricing before care begins — no surprise balances.

Before care begins

What your client should check with their plan.

We walk clients through this at intake. If they’d rather come prepared, this is the list.

  • Annual maximum for psychological or mental health services
  • Whether the plan covers registered psychologists, social workers, or counsellors
  • Whether pre-approval is required for a multi-week program
  • Whether virtual sessions are covered the same as in-person
  • How much of the maximum has already been used this year

FAQ

Coverage questions.

We direct bill several major insurers and most workers’ compensation and workplace program claims. Where direct billing isn’t available, we provide receipts for reimbursement.

Individual sessions and program fees are quoted before care begins. Our intake team confirms the total cost, what coverage will absorb, and what remains out of pocket.

Ours. You can refer without knowing the funding source; we sort it out with your client at intake.

We recommend a level of care they can complete. That may mean starting with therapy and stepping up later when funding allows.

Yes. Receipts include the clinician’s name, designation, registration number, service date, and amount paid.

Case managers

Approvals, reporting, and return-to-work.

For funded claims we provide treatment plans for approval, attendance and progress reporting at agreed intervals, and coordinated return-to-work planning with occupational therapy input where it helps.
