Intensive Outpatient Program
An Outpatient Program Built for Real, Lasting Progress
The Newly’s Intensive Outpatient Program (also known as our Mental Health Core IOP) is one of our most comprehensive mental health IOPs — five days a week of trauma-focused therapy, skills training, and coordinated medical support. It’s designed for people who want deeper, faster progress than weekly therapy alone can offer.
Who the Intensive Outpatient Program is for
When weekly therapy isn’t creating enough change.
This intensive outpatient program tends to be the right fit for people who’ve tried weekly therapy and want something more immersive, or who are dealing with several things at once and want a coordinated team working on it together.
This mental health IOP may be a good fit if:
- Weekly therapy hasn't created enough change, or progress feels slow
- You're carrying trauma, depression, anxiety, or addiction — often more than one at a time
- You're able to commit to a structured, five-day-a-week schedule for about a month
- You want a team of therapists and medical clinicians working from the same plan
Not sure, don't worry
You don't need to know if this is the right level of care before reaching out. That's exactly what your first conversation and assessment are for.
What the Intensive Outpatient Program is
Structured programming five days a week.
This mental health IOP starts with a detailed assessment so your care team understands what you’re experiencing and what you’re hoping to change. From there, you’ll take part in structured programming five days a week — combining individual trauma therapy, skills-based group work, and, when appropriate, medically assisted treatment.
It’s built to help with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and more — often addressing several of these at once, since they rarely show up in isolation.

Let's get started with your journey
Because it’s five days a week, this program asks for a real time commitment. Your care team will help you weigh that against your work and life responsibilities before you start.
Support that comes built in
Comprehensive care from a coordinated team.
At The Newly, this mental health IOP is part of a broader spectrum of care. Your support can adjust over time based on what you need.
This intensive outpatient program includes:

- Skills and resiliency training (ACT, DBT, mindfulness)
- Medically assisted treatment when clinically appropriate
- Family education and sleep education sessions
Many clients move into maintenance sessions or ongoing therapy once this program wraps up.

Evidence-based approaches used in this program

Not sure what level of care you need?
Our team helps you clarify what you’re dealing with and what pathway fits — whether that’s therapy, a program, or medically assisted care.
Guided care
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
A lot of people aren’t sure whether they need weekly therapy, a more flexible program, or something as immersive as this one. In your first conversation, our team walks through what’s going on, what you’ve already tried, and what pace of care makes sense — before recommending this program or a different path.
